Explore the 26th Edition of TiDF - Where Stories Unfold from the Heart of Greece
The 26th Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival (TiDF), running from 7 to 17 March, features 250 documentaries, including 112 premieres, across both physical venues and online. Highlights include Fernando Trueba's opener They Shot the Piano Player and closing film Yanni Spanos: A Life Behind the Marquee by Aris Dorizas. Dimitris Papaioannou and Panayotis Evangelidis are spotlighted for their contributions to documentary and LGBTQI+ cinema, respectively. With 67 Greek films, the festival showcases national talent and supports innovation in its competitions. The new Podcast Section expands its offerings, while the TiDF Agora encourages industry networking. Commemorating 50 years of Greek democracy, the festival includes films and discussions that reflect on democracy's impact, ensuring a diverse and engaging selection for all attendees.
