The fifth edition of MajorDocs, the creative documentary film festival, is approaching, and with it comes the chance of a lifetime. MAJORDOCSPITCH, a non-conventional space within the festival, invites five authors to present their documentary projects in development to industry experts and renowned filmmakers. The submission deadline is August 15, and the in-person session will be held on October 7 at 10 am in Palma de Mallorca.
MAJORDOCSPITCH isn’t just about funding; it aims to elevate the creative possibilities of your project, address weaknesses, and boost its positioning and notoriety. Renowned documentary expert Brigid O’Shea from the Documentary Association of Europe (DAE) will guide your pitch preparation, ensuring you shine on the day.
Selected projects will be in the running for exciting prizes, including mentoring with a DAE senior member and a one-year association subscription, expert mentorship from Docma (Documentary Association of Spain) for distribution and festivals, and a generous 1,500 euros.
To qualify, you need a feature-length documentary project in development, from work in progress to rough cut. Check out the MajorDocs website for full details, selection criteria, and rules.
